Unit III explores three major pharmaceutical legislations essential for BPharma 5th semester students:

Pharmacy Act, 1948: Focuses on the objectives and definitions, establishment and functions of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), along with Education Regulations. It also explains the constitution and roles of State and Joint State Pharmacy Councils, procedures for registration of pharmacists, and outlines related offences and penalties.

Medicinal and Toilet Preparations Act, 1955: Covers the licensing, manufacture (in-bond and out-bond), and export of alcoholic medicinal preparations.
