Examples include Quinidine sulphate, Procainamide hydrochloride, and Disopyramide phosphate*. Other important drugs are Phenytoin sodium, Lidocaine hydrochloride, and Mexiletine hydrochloride. Moreover, Amiodarone and Sotalol are also used for rhythm control.
Next, the unit explains anti-hyperlipidemic agents. These drugs help lower cholesterol levels. For instance, Clofibrate and Lovastatin reduce fat in the blood. Additionally, Cholestyramine and Cholestipol are used to bind cholesterol in the gut.
