Mechanism of Action of Cyclopentolate Hydrochloride:

- Shorter duration than atropine, longer than tropicamide

- Cycloplegic refraction in children
- Mydriasis for diagnostic purposes
Side Effects:
- CNS stimulation (especially in children)
- Tachycardia
- Dry mouth
- Photophobia
