Mechanism of Action of Glycopyrrolate:

  • M3 antagonist (peripheral) → decreases secretions & GI motility
  • Does NOT cross BBB

Therapeutic Uses of Glycopyrrolate:

  • Pre-op reduction of saliva and respiratory secretions
  • Peptic ulcer treatment
  • COPD (as inhaled form: glycopyrronium)
