Mechanism of Action of Methantheline Bromide:

• Non-selective muscarinic blocker
• Acts peripherally (no CNS effects)

Therapeutic Uses of Methantheline Bromide:

• Peptic ulcers
• GI spasm (older drug, less common now)

Side Effects:

• Dry mouth
• Tachycardia
• Constipation
• Blurred vision
