- Triclofos Sodium is used as a sedative-hypnotic for treating childhood insomnia and sleep disorders.

Mechanism of Triclofos Sodium:
- Prodrug; hydrolyzed to trichloroethanol (active), similar to chloral hydrate.
- Acts on GABA-A receptor to enhance inhibitory neurotransmission.

- Pediatric sedation
- Preoperative sedation
